Zero Sales to Profitable — and Into Retail
We inherited a strong Italian skincare brand on a website that couldn’t sell. We kept the brand the founders loved, rebuilt the business around it, and took it from zero sales to profitable — and expanding into 100+ Swiss perfumeries.
Flariel is an Italian-made skincare brand — a sharp, Gen-Z range of acne and pimple serums. The brand itself was great; the problem was everything around it. We inherited a beautiful identity sitting on a website that couldn’t sell — and not a single sale to show for it. The founders loved the brand and wanted to keep it, so our job wasn’t to reinvent it. It was to build the business around it: rebuild the experience, build a paid engine, and design it all across German, Italian and English for Italy and Switzerland.

The Challenge
A great brand the website couldn’t sell.
Flariel came to us with something most launches would kill for — a genuinely strong brand. What it didn’t have was a business. The website couldn’t convert, the checkout leaked at every step, and for all the quality of the brand, it had made zero sales.
The founders were rightly protective of the identity they’d built, so a rebrand was off the table. The brief was harder and more interesting than “make it look nice”: keep everything they loved about the brand, and build the machine that would finally sell it — profitably, from a standing start.
Our Approach
Keep the brand. Rebuild the engine.
We left the brand alone and went to work on everything around it — pragmatically. The site was a slow, fragile WordPress build, so we re-platformed it to a custom Next.js front-end on a Shopify backend: fast and robust for shoppers, and simple for the client, who runs the store from Shopify while we own the front-end. We didn’t rebuild everything — we focused where it moved sales, fixing a leaking checkout, redesigning the cart, and adding bundle pages to lift cart value, all in German, Italian and English.
Alongside the site, we built a paid-social engine from scratch: a continuous creative-testing operation in the brand’s own voice, run across Italy and Switzerland. When early returns sat below profitability — normal for a cold start — we restructured the funnel rather than overspending, and crossed into profitable territory.
The Results
From zero to profitable — and into retail.
Flariel went from no sales to a profitable, repeatable business. Revenue has tripled, average order value is up 25%, and the best campaigns return 2x — with spend scaling profitably rather than buying unprofitable volume.
The brand is now stable in Italy and growing into Switzerland — and moving beyond e-commerce, expanding into more than 100 perfumeries across the country. A brand with zero sales became one with a growing retail footprint.
What we did
The work, broken down.
WordPress → Next.js + Shopify
Re-platformed a slow, fragile WordPress site to a custom Next.js front-end on a Shopify backend — faster and sturdier for shoppers, simple for the client to run. We focused the rebuild where it mattered most.
Checkout & cart
Fixed a leaking checkout and added a slide-out cart that keeps shoppers browsing — lifting add-to-cart and purchase.
Bundle pages
Designed dedicated bundle landing pages — in three languages — built to raise average cart value.
Paid social engine
Built acquisition from scratch: weekly creative testing in the brand’s voice across Italy and Switzerland.
Checkout Evolution
We grow with you.
A brand’s needs change as it scales — so the work does too. Flariel’s checkout went through three chapters with us, each one earning more of the visitors it already had.

01
Fixed a broken checkout
The original cart was a loud, cluttered table — hard to scan, no express pay, friction at every step. We rebuilt it from the ground up.
02
Lifted add-to-cart & purchase
A clean, single-page express checkout — Apple/Google/PayPal pay, a free-shipping progress nudge, in-cart cross-sell and one clear CTA. Add-to-cart and purchase rates both climbed.
03
Then moved to Shopify
As the brand scaled, we migrated to Shopify’s native checkout — the most-tested, highest-converting, most-trusted checkout on the web. Less to maintain, more conversions.
We didn’t touch the brand they’d built. We rebuilt the business around it — from zero sales to profitable, and into retail.
Stable in Italy and growing into Switzerland.

Cart & Conversion
Let them keep shopping.
Adding to cart used to drop shoppers straight into a full checkout — no easy way to keep browsing, and no clear view of what they were about to buy. We replaced it with a slide-out cart drawer: add, keep shopping, see the order at a glance, and meet a discount prompt right at the moment of decision.
Creative Engine
Built to be
scrolled past — and stopped.
Paid social lives and dies on the creative. We ran a continuous testing engine — new angles, hooks and formats every week — in an authentic Gen-Z voice built for the feed, not the boardroom.
The winners became the backbone of the account; the rest taught us what the audience actually responds to. A small sample of the work:
Conversion Design
A page built for the thumb.
Beyond the standard product pages, we design dedicated bundle pagesbuilt to lift cart value — pulling products into one compelling offer. This summer-offer page is one of them: mobile-first, where most of Flariel's traffic lives, with a fast, thumb-friendly flow from hook to checkout. It's live — scroll the real thing.
“We had a brand we believed in, but a website that couldn’t sell it and not a single sale to show for it. They kept everything we loved about the brand and rebuilt the whole machine around it — the site, the checkout, the ads — across three languages. We went from zero to profitable, and now we’re moving into retail. It feels less like an agency and more like having a growth team.”
